The group show
One magic show, for the whole room at once.
Kostya Kimlat performs a full show for a seated audience, with your own guests on their feet beside him. Thirty to sixty minutes, scaled to your run of show, from a production stage, a small riser, or the front of the room with no stage at all.

What makes it different
A magic show your whole room watches together.
- 01
Everybody sees the same thing at the same moment.
Close-up magic reaches your guests a few at a time. A group show reaches all of them at once, so the whole room reacts together.
- 02
The volunteers are your own guests.
People from your room come up and take part, and they’re the ones the show is built around. Nobody is asked to do anything embarrassing, nothing depends on humiliating a guest, and the biggest laugh is never at their expense. Your CEO can take part and come out looking good.
- 03
It fits the room you already booked.
A full production stage, a small riser, or the ballroom floor with no stage at all. Kostya has performed with a house lighting rig and with the room lights simply left on. Tell him what you have, and he’ll tell you whether it works and what he would change.
- 04
Written for skeptical professionals.
Kostya has performed on stage in Las Vegas with Penn and Teller, and he builds these shows for rooms of lawyers, engineers and executives. Nothing in the show depends on the audience being eager to play along at the start.
- 05
It fits into your agenda.
Thirty to sixty minutes, set by where it sits in your evening. After an awards presentation it runs short and sharp; as the night’s entertainment it runs long. He talks to your AV team before doors and sends promotional copy and images for your internal comms.

The three formats
Which format do you need?
Many events use two. If your evening has a reception and then everyone sits down, close-up magic covers the standing part and a show covers the seated part.

Questions
Your magic show questions, answered.
What is a group magic show?
One performance for your whole audience at once, the way you would book a band or a comedian. Everyone watches the same thing at the same time, with volunteers coming up from your own room to take part. It is the format most people mean when they say they want a magician at their event.
How long is the show?
Thirty to sixty minutes, depending on where it sits in your evening: after an awards presentation it runs short, and as the entertainment for the night it runs long.
How big does the audience need to be?
The size matters less than the shape of the room. If your guests are seated and facing one direction, a show works. If they’re standing, mingling and holding drinks, close-up magic reaches them better, because a room that’s busy talking doesn’t want someone performing at the front of it.
Do we need a stage?
No. The show runs from a full production stage, a small riser, or the front of the room with no stage at all. What matters more than a stage is sightlines: everyone needs to be able to see his hands.
What do you need from our venue?
A microphone your guests can hear, enough light on the performing area that hands read from the back of the room, and space for a few volunteers to stand. He will work through the detail with your AV team before doors.
Will anyone be embarrassed?
No, and this is the question planners ask most. Volunteers are collaborators and are always made to look good. Nobody is called out, nothing is taken without permission, and senior people are handled with particular care.
Can our CEO or a client be part of the show?
Yes, and it’s often the best moment in the show. The material is built so the person on stage comes out looking sharp, which is what makes it safe to put someone senior up there.
How much does a magic show cost?
Fees vary with the date, the format, the audience size and travel. Send your event details and you’ll hear from Kostya’s team within one hour during business hours; a specific quote follows once those are clear.
Can we book close-up magic for the same event?
Yes, and it’s the most common booking at a conference: close-up magic during the welcome reception, then the show for the whole room after dinner. Guests who met him individually at the reception are already on his side when the show starts.
What kind of magic is in it?
Sleight of hand, mentalism and theatrical mind reading, scaled so it reads from the back of a ballroom. The material is built for adults at a business event.
Where does Kostya travel?
Kostya Kimlat is based in Orlando, Florida, and travels worldwide for corporate events. He has performed on five continents.
What if our date is taken?
Kostya founded See Magic Live, a booking company of magicians and mentalists he has personally selected. If he isn’t available, his team there will find the right performer for your event and stand behind the booking.
